The National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) Manufacturing Summit was an annual meeting where manufacturers nationwide gathered in Washington, DC to engage with legislators and advocate for policies vital to economic growth. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with members of Congress, discuss key issues affecting businesses, workers, and bottom lines, and contribute to meaningful policy dialogue.
In order to bring public attention to this event as well as the issues facing manufacturers, the NAM made use of high-visibility public advertising methods such as bus and trolley wraps.
Using a 3-dimensional-styled illustration of gears and textures that evoke manufacturing, the final result was a highly effective campaign that drove engagement in person as well as on social media.
The NAM also used the public visibility of the buses as an opportunity to educate ad-viewers on key U.S. manufacturing stats, incorporating myth-busting information into some of the bus designs. This approach allowed the campaign audience to become better-informed about modern manufacturing and the opportunities in the sector.
